This page explains what Swappy keeps when you use the Swappy Discord bot or visit swappy.be. Last updated: 7 October 2026.

Your swaps

Swappy keeps a record of every swap under its reference number, so it can guide you through the steps, open the deposit channel and follow the swap until it completes. The record holds:

  • the assets, the amount and the quote: expected amounts, rate, fees and the minimum price,
  • your destination address and refund address,
  • the Chainflip deposit address and deposit channel,
  • the swap's status and the time of each step,
  • the IDs of the messages Swappy posted to announce the swap.

The record doesn't hold your Discord user ID, your username or the server you used.

Debug logs

When you use /swap, /quote or /status, Swappy writes your Discord username and the server's name, next to the reference number, to its debug logs. The logs are used to fix problems and answer support questions, and are deleted automatically after 24 hours.

What is public

  • Swaps happen on public blockchains: deposit and destination addresses, amounts and transactions can be seen by anyone, for example on the Chainflip Explorer.
  • Swappy announces every swap, with its assets and amounts, in Discord channels, including #swaps on the Swappy Discord, without mentioning who made it.
  • Your swap thread is a private thread in the Discord server where you started it. Discord keeps it like any other thread, and the server's moderators can see private threads.

Who else is involved

  • Discord carries the conversation; Discord's privacy policy applies to your use of Discord.
  • Broker as a Service, the Chainflip broker Swappy uses, receives the assets, the amount, the minimum price and your destination and refund addresses to open your deposit channel.
  • Chainflip performs the swap on-chain.

Swappy doesn't sell your data, share it with advertisers or use it for marketing.
